My baby Andre is now 3 years and 2 days old!!!!!!!!!! (0^__^0)
YAYYY!!!!

<-- was taken on his birthday. Poor baby! I forgotten about his day and trapped him in a bag and hung him on my door. He was so heavy! I only left him there to take a picture. Cute huh!
-----

Lo and I watched two movies Saturday! Easy A and The Town. Both were good but not outstanding. The best movie of recent date was Avatar! Anyway, Easy A was a "well, DUH- what did you expect" kind of movie. Olive, the protagonist, did this to herself. Watch and you will understand what I mean. I do not spoil movies. =). The Town's ending was agreeable to my standards. It suits his own "karma" if you believe in that stuff. I enjoyed the romance of both movies for different reason. One was more kiddie and sweet. The other contained more love and err intimacy.

We paid for the first movie and sneak into the other. I do not recommend this. However, we did save alot of money and ate pizza with my parents after. Spent $20 (which is such a great feat for us as we usually spend more on other days). Good day =)

This picture is from the back of my mannequin. The bun is still a bit too big for my liking but as it being my first, I think that I did rather well. My vision of this updo was not this messy. The curls were supposed to be neat and organized
From the side. The curls limped so the bottom is more heavy than I wanted it to be. This is a very simple and elegant look. <3 it
The front picture. You can see my SMA set up too! Well, part of it.

I did this on free-day Friday. My first updo with horrible hair supplies. I used clips used for rollers and did not have hairspray to hold my finish style. The curls limped shortly. I would love this style for my wedding, but I will most likely leave my hair down and give myself wavy curls.

Well, good night all! Tomorrow is another long week of school. I can't wait until Friday! Lunch with Lo and starting the weekend all over again!

Mom, baby and Lo

I love my mom! I did mention her emtional abuse, but she has been better since then. She does manual labor and her body aches all over to provide for the family. That is why I want to hurry up with my education! I want to help out and ease her off this stress. She is just bitter inside and her body makes her irritable. Both my dad and I understand, but we can only take so much before we blow up. ANYWAY, I love my dad too! He is a wonderful father and a weird grandfather to my baby Andre. By the way, I went home early and took Andre for a walk. Both my parents came home to find the house empty and went crazy looking for him. My poor dad was yelled at lots by my mom for being careless. Woops! I did leave a message on the answering machine (that they didn't hear until I returned home). I am extremely pleased that they both love my baby dog now. It took a long time for them to give in. I will now tell you my story of how my baby came into my life.  -it is pretty long

Ever since I could remember, I had always wanted a dog. My parents and I used to live in a studio located in the TL. It was way too small for another being, or so my parents told me. They opted for fishes instead. I had many over the years and each of them died over the years. None of them had my interest, let alone my love. My dad took me to Chinatown and bought me a baby chick which then grew into a rooster. It was a mean old thing and no, I did not love it. My parents bought me a rabbit and yes, I liked it alot. However, it never had a name because I did not know its gender. The rabbit was later killed by my aunt's neighbor's dog. We left it with my aunt to go on vacation. I do hope it died fast and painlessly. It was a beautiful thing: pure white with beautiful pinkish red eyes. Since then, I had turtles (one I favored but passed away, I still regret it leaving me), more fishes, nano pets, Tamigachis and Gameboys. None of then could fill the void of my very own dog. I remember when I was in middle school, I cleaned a space for a dog to sleep and told my dad. He said no. My mom was more gentle by saying that she wanted dogs too, but there was no space.

To fast forward, during my senior year in high school, we moved to a bigger home! YAY! I finally have my own room after sleeping on the floor and in small closets! Still, my parent's excuses changed into: the carpets are white. They wanted to keep our new home clean and were worried that having a dog would ruin the house. I had enough! I waited enough! There was just too much waiting and now is my chance and I was going to take it. I spent a few months reading about the care and training of puppies. I looked through ads for a puppy around my price range and their looks. I wanted a black and tan coat on my dog and a small one to start off with. I believe it was in December when I finally felt ready and had choosen. After calling the seller, I contacted my friend for a ride to Daly City. The day before I was supposed to buy my puppy, I bought all the nessicities and planned where to put my pup and made a list of names I would pick from.

The day of was a nerve wreck! My parents still had no idea and I went with two friends to get him. I did not know which him I wanted, but I knew I wanted a male dog. When I first stepped into the house, this awful dog smell hit my face. It took a while to adjust. The sellers took out four puppies that ran around all over the place. They were so small and so cute! However, their nails were so long and sharp that it hurted my skin. I called out randomly for them to come to me. One did! I picked it up and played with it briefly and put it down. I called out again and the same one kept coming over to me! He picked me! I held him on the way home. He was shaking alot and was whining. It pained me so much, that is, until he barfed many times and pooped! It stank the car SOOOO BAD!!!!!!!! And my poor hands and clothes!!!!!!! My poor friend!!! His car was soiled. What an experience that was. We gave him multiple baths upon arriving to my home. My dad was not happy at all! He did not want anything to do with my mutt. My mom was livid! My family even told me to give him back or sell him off. I was angry for their suggestion but felt pressured to list him to sell. I did have callers who were interested in seeing him but I had lied and said he was already sold. I wanted him. He picked me and I want him. See, I had already fallen in love with him and cannot and could not let him go.

I trained him within a mere hour to sit upon command. I trained him to shake hands, roll over, play dead, stay and sit properly in the car! He is my child and I love him. He slowly and gradually earned my parent's love. He is my crazy little baby head and I love his stubborn ways. I like that he doesn't always listen because I want him to have his own mind too. He is like me, his mommy! =)
----

Dearest Lo, I love you too! =)
and Thank you lots for letting me practice french manicure on you! =) hot and sexy nails now!

Cost of beauty

During my lunch break I went to the beauty supply store to buy waxing and nail supplies. Grand total of $100+ for today's spending. Not bad for a jobless student. Now, you may believe that over 100bucks for just beauty supplies is over the top, but in the long run, I will be saving.

Wax supplies:
[a] wax machine
[b] roll of wax strips
[c] wooden sticks (medium)
[d] astringent/wax remover
[e] wax (for sensitive skin)

Nail supplies:
[a] elle polish
[b] brush
[c] fake nails
[d] acrylic powder (so expensive!!!)
[e] acrylic liquid
[f] brush cleanser
[g] 5 empty bottles for school
---

I have done my first french manicure on a dear classmate. She was so sweet to teach me and volunteer herself to be my guinea pig. Since she only had red polish, I gave her a red tip (I used her supplies since I didn't have any until today).

My supplies will be for home use only! I will jealously guard my supplies because they are MINE MINE MINE! Yes, I am the only child.. phew. Ah well, I will bring some to school to practice, but I worry that my stuff will be stolen as it does happen. My classmates' items gets taken all the time. Not good for me because I have very nice things. A majority of my polishes are OPI, Elle and China Glaze! Expensive stuff! Pictures of my collections will be posted after I finish organizing my shelf. I had to move around my many books to have a space solely for my beauty items. I really need a new bookcase, desk and a table dedicated for beauty stuff only. Alas me, I have no room!

Lo and Behold

YAY! I am finally able to post a message! Firefox kept redirecting me to another site: google-analytics.com. It was SO frustrating! Lo suggested to try Internet Explorer instead and it works! Yippie! I have been wanting to post for a long time but prevent to.

Well, I am officially sick. Was feeling my crappiest yesterday so I decided to stay home today. Darn it! I wanted to go to school because the advance instructor was supposed to show a new technique on hair coloring. However, the smells from the chemicals makes me feel so much worse. AND Lo is sick too so we wouldn't be able to jog. Had he been healthy, I would have made efforts to go to school just to jog afterward. If I stayed home (and I did), my parents would not allow me to jog at all. I want to get healthy asap so I can jog again! I missed five days already and feel so bad about it! I find myself getting better and better at this. I can see my waist getting smaller but wish the rest of me would decrease in size too. In time it will.

Anyway, I slept for most of the day today. Usually I sleep very little but today was great. I dreamt of many things but remember one. I dreamt that my parents, Lo and I were in a dark parking garage and were being targeted for something by bad people. My dad broke into a very black car with extremely tinted windows. I drove the car to the TL to save my cousin. The car turned out to be batman's car and it was amazing in there! We then left the car to go help my cousin out but when we came back for it, it changed into an old ugly car to disguise itself. The identifying characteristic of it was the tinted windows. I remember feeling so happy and feeling like such a daredevil while driving it.

Around 6pm, while I was showering, Lo came by! Missed him! I haven't seen in since Tuesday after our dinner at the best fried rice restaurant in the city, Kingdom of Dumplings. Well, walking out the the bathroom, I saw this --->
A cute "get well soon" balloon!!!!! HEHEH what a surprise!

The balloon was just the icing! There was a card and tasty goodies! HEHEH being sick rocks!

Inside the card!

Woops! Sorry Lo! Even though I read your card first, I couldn't resist candies! I ran out of my 5 pound box of milk chocolates earlier this morning. Lo is pretty intuitive of my needs since I told him nothing =)

LOVE MY LO! THANK YOU!!!!!!! <3

San Bruno gas explosion

Such a great tragedy! =( All the homes destroyed and lives lost! There are no known human lives accounted for as of yet, but for the trapped animals inside those homes, my heart bleeds for them. All the memories, items and livelihood of those people are melted and turned into ashes. Cars were burnt too. I hope the fire ceases soon and no human life was taken!

PG&E... they have a lot of work to do.

Cravings

Since August, I have been cutting my food intake. That is a very good thing because I have been eating more foods than I had to- resulting to my increase in weight! It was hard at the beginning but grew easier and easier each day. Jogging is something I look forward to do but when the time comes, I get wary. It tires me out very fast but I do enjoy my accomplishments! Thank you Lo! Anyway, since I have been cutting my food intake, my cravings have increased due to lack of indulgence. What I mean is this: when I crave for a burrito, I would not get to satisfy my tummy until much later. By the time I do eat one, the craving moves on to another food like pho.

I have decided to make a list of all my cravings in the past that have yet to be satisfied and my current. They will be listed in random order, whichever pops into my head first.

Just another Sunday

Lo and I went to the Viz Cinema today to watch the movie called "People I've Slept With." It was a low budget film about a woman's choice to keep her baby while trying to find its father. She finds a man who she actually falls for during her quest and well, you should watch it (with an open mind). The acting may be flawed at some points, but it was an over-all good story with lovable characters. Our favorites, Lo's and mine, were the gay men. They brought depth, sensitivity and humor.

On a different note, my friend's birthday passed and I still haven't gotten a gift for her! I am at total lost of what to get her!!!! My cash is low and I don't want to get her useless junk. I want to give her something useful and nice =( ! I will be seeing her Thursday. I need ideas! Mine are: OPI nail polishes with nail kit (but I believe she could afford to get lots of manis and pedis in salons), Hello Kitty gifts (but what uses are they? sure they are sooo darn cute, but they are just for display), gift card seems unpersonalized!!!! AH ME! X(

98 Degrees

98 Degrees & RisingI Do (Cherish You)

Written by Keith Stegall and Dan Hill

 Verse
All I am, all I'll be
Everything in this world
All that I'll ever need
Is in your eyes
Shining at me
When you smile I can feel
All my passion unfolding
Your hand brushes mine
And a thousand sensations
Seduce me 'cause I
Chorus
I do cherish you
For the rest of my life
You don't have to think twice
I will love you still
From the depths of my soul
It's beyond my control
I've waited so long to say this to you
If you're asking do I love you this much
I do
Verse
In my world before you
I lived outside my emotions
Didn't know where I was going
'Til that day I found you
How you opened my life
To a new paradise
In a world torn by change
Still with all my heart
'Til my dying day
Chorus

Don't you just love the song? Its so sweet so filled with love. I love their album, 98 Degrees and Rising. They sang in harmony and their voices were the main focus unlike music of today. What happened and how did we end up with singers who depend on anything but their voices at present time?! I am sadden by the loss of talent. Savage Garden was super good too. Their songs had meaning and heart felt.
