The Korean actors/actresses baffles me. Their ability to cry on cue is amazing. I am currently watching Stars Falling from the Sky via Netflix and love it. The story line is sweet and though typical of Kdrama with its one-girl-two guys-love-triangle-with-a-second-girl-making-trouble, I love the family bond this drama emphasizes.

On another note, I had a good day at work today! My client offered me a position at his company! With no background knowledge or resume needed, he offered me a job! He said he will be needing a managerial personnel in a close future and if I was interested, he will come back to tell me. Pretty cool yo! What an awesome compliment! Life is very strange.

GIANTS WORLD SERIES 2012!!!! I love my city! I may not be into sports, but I cannot deny the intensity when the Giants win! The lively energy is palpable.

life is what you make it. =)

within the 6 months time span, I have gotten two jobs, gotten my own car (by myself I should add) and improved both skills in floral design and hair styling. Its one thing to wish and plan, but another to actually do it.

Happy Forth of July!

Happy Birthday Meuy, Jenny and America!! Hope everyone is having a grand time of their lives! I wish I could have seen the fireworks but there is just too much mess in my life that prevented me from going. Dad isn't feeling up to par and will need to go back to the hospital soon. We are holding off and hoping he gets better soon because staying in the hospital is so draining for all of us.

Anyway, the Filmore Jazz Festival/ July 4th celebration festival is this weekend, July 7th and 8th! I believe this is the best festival of San Francisco, hopefully I can make it too..

Horrible week

Omg, for the past 8 days my dad was hospitalized so mum and I stayed by his bedside whenever we could. Let me tell you this, nurses work so hard! They do so much dirty work that I wouldn't be paid enough to do! Wiping patient's posteriors, cleaning up diarrhea, vomit and other bodily excretion. Inserting catheters, and in general, just caring for the ill, wounded and mentally unstable is just so stressful! I spent 6 days sleeping inside the hospital room watching over my dad because he was doped up on lots of pain medicines and it was the most exhausting thing ever. After 6 days, my body failed me and I became sick myself from all the stress and lack of sleep (4 hours a day if I was lucky). My dad would wake up at random times and try to get up or remove his IV needles because he was so heavily medicated after his surgery that he was confused and felt no pain of his actions! He made the process of healing so much more slower than it had to be. Then again, my dad is 74 years old, not a young buck.

Well, my dad may be coming home tomorrow! Fingers crossed! My little dog, Andre has been under Lo's care. I sure miss my little munchkin! I wonder how much bigger he's gotten since Lo's family feeds him alot.

Back to what I was saying, thank you nurses! Your hard work, compassion and knowledge is recognized!

Recommendation for Cosmetology Students: Walh Clipper and trimmer

Looking for the right clipper and trimmer can be overwhelming for students of Cosmetology. Which is the best brand, long lasting and best for its pricing? I went through this myself. The best brand is Oster, but their prices may be too high for students. So, I recommend getting the Walh Designer and Peanut trimmer as a starter for practice then buy the more expensive ones when you feel ready. They work really well and do not require the daily maintenance like an Oster would. Though, I highly suggest caring for them just the same. Price may range, depending on your location, but it should be around $50 for each. Both should include their own guard sizes. The best thing about Walh clippers are their guard sizes, which are commonly used on the floor.

The Designer allows you to adjust the blade up and down to half a gauge. So a 1guard becomes a 1.5guard. The top Oster clippers do not have that option, which is why my recommendation is best for those just starting. After some usage, you will notice that make louder hmms than other clippers. This is not a problem. Maintaining any clipper and trimmer requires regular cleaning (for every 20-30 clients). This is your money making tool so take care of it. Use a screw driver to remove the screws and have a brush ready to gently remove hairs between the blades and insides. If you happen to adjust the blades too tightly, the blades will create an extremely loud ring when turned on. Not to fear, just take your trusty screw driver and loosen the screw while your clipper is still on until you hear no more ringing (located on the side) and that should resolve the problem. Make sure to oil your blades after each client to ensure lubrication for longer lasting quality.

As for the Peanut, after each client, make sure to remove the blade and brush the hairs out to prevent clogging of tool and add a drop of oil to the blade after each client.

If you have any questions of maintenance of these tools, post on the comment or just ask your instructors.

75th Anniversary of Golden Gate

Hope everyone is enjoying the night! The fireworks should be starting now. San Francisco's 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge!

The buses were so packed earlier. Hope people are able to get home easily later!
